Awards

At St.Peters Junior School we are keen to celebrate the good work and achievements of all our children. We do this in many ways on a daily basis through praising children and giving out team points and stickers.

We have a very special assembly every Friday afternoon where we celebrate childrens successes and present a child from each class with a star of the week award. Children are chosen by their class teacher to be star of the week for anything from good work to excellent effort and improved behaviour.

At the start of a new school year children, with the support of their class teacher decide on a class name. The teacher then has the challenge of finding a matching mascot!

The 8 mascots sit on a chair at the front of our Friday assembly. When a child has been awarded star of the week they can sit with the mascot and then keep it with them for a week.

This years class names are:

3S      = Secret Superheros
3R      = Rocking Racoons
4F      = Famous Flamingos
4KC   = Kingsize Crystals
5W    = Wise Wombles
5L      = Lively Llamas
6B       = Busy Bees
6G       = Gifted Gorillas
