Governors
Role of the Governing Body
The Governing Body is responsible for overseeing the managing of the school and its finances, whilst delegating to the Headteacher the responsibility for the day to day running of the school. The Governing Body acts as a critical friend by asking questions of the Headteacher, regarding standards and levels of achievement, etc, and also assist in the strategic planning of the school with input into the School Development Plan each year.

My name is Maria Bullock and I became a Foundation Governor for St Peters in September 2009. My daughter is in year 4 and I have been a parent volunteer.
Mrs C Taylor
Hello, I am a new Foundation Governor nominated by St Peters Church. I live with my family in Littleover. I have two teenage children, a son studying A levels and a daughter at University. I bring to this role previous experience as a parent governor in addition to a career in the public sector.  When I left school I went straight into nurse training and have continued to work full time gaining a wide range of clinical and management skills in the intervening years. I went to University as a mature student to continue with my personal and professional development. I have recently trained as a Registrar for Births Deaths and Marriages so that I can work part time whilst completing a doctorate. I look forward to working with everyone during my term of office, to share my knowledge and contribute to the ongoing success of the school.
