Brain Week
There are three parts to the brain neo cortex, limbic brain and the reptilian brain. The reptilian brain makes you act before you think. The parts of the brain are together the largest part is the neo cortex .
Brain cells link together to help us to learn new things. We made two brain cells using crayons and paper.

In brain week we made some brain cells out of salt dough. We had to shape them ourselves and then you had to let them dry and paint them. I made a multicoloured one.
We learned lots about our super duper brains and labelled the different parts.
We made brain hats which showed the 2 parts of the brain, the right side had to be colourful and on the left side we made a mind map.
We learnt about SMARTS and one of these is 2D/3D smart this means that I am arty.

In brain week we made brain hats. Our brain hats covered what our left and right side are better at. The left side was more neat and tidy. And the right side was arty and creative. We also thought about our smarts. We took a quiz on what smart we were we answered a series of question and we decided on what smart we were by the most statements that were really us. The smarts were: body smart, number smart, 2.D 3.D smart, word smart, music smart, practical smart, nature smart, self smart and people smart.
Next we either made posters or did role plays on how brains cells work and some different facts on brain cells. Then we made brain cells out of clay and on the Friday we painted all the different parts: Dendrites or Axons and made them really pretty!

In brain week we learnt all kinds of information about our brain. First we did a quiz on the computer or on paper to tell us what smart we are, practical, number, nature, musical, 2d3d,word, body, people and self. We also learned about brain cells and did a poster about it to remember what we learned. During the week we learned about the 3 parts of the brain, noe-cortex-thats where our brain cells live, limbic-is our emotion and the reptilian-physical well-being. We did another quiz to find if we are left or right I was right 8-4 to right brain. At the end of the week we made booklets to tell us all that we had done in brain week. Brain week was cooool!
