European Day of Languages

Bonjour!  Hola!  Bon Giorno!  Guten Tag!

To celebrate European Day of Languages on the 26th of September the children began the day with a special collective worship which introduced the different countries in Europe and the languages spoken.

The four countries being explored during the day were introduced and information about each countries flags was shared with the whole school.

A class of year four children had been taught the song Head, shoulders, knees and toes in French the day before and they had the opportunity to show the school what they had learnt. Each year group was then challenged to learn the song in their language for the following day.
