Harvest Festival 2008
Harvest Festival

On Monday 6th October we held our annual Harvest Festival in St. Peters Church. The children participated in the service with each year group focussing on a different aspect of Harvest.
- Year 3 children produced an acrostic poem which explained what harvest means.
- Year 4 children looked at water as a resource from the earth and how some children dont have running water.
- Year 5 performed a poem which considered the fairness in the world all year round but particularly during harvest time.
- Year 6 looked at fairtrade and challenged us to think about where we buy our tea, coffee, chocolate and bananas from.
After the service family and friends were invited back to school for tea and coffee. All donations were distributed by the church to:
- Derby City Mission Basics Bank
- Local elderly people in need
