Purple Crocuses

On Monday 2nd October Derby Rotary Club visited our collective worship. The purple crocus is a symbol of Rotary's worldwide campaign to eradicate polio, with its colour representing the purple dye used to mark the finger of a child to indicate they have received their life saving oral polio vaccine. as a school we heard about the campaign and how it helps children across the world. Last year we were given purple crocuses to plant outside school and this year we have been given more to plant - so keep an eye out in the Spring.
