St Peter's Church of England Junior School

Absence, medical needs and Appointments

We are required by the Department for Education to record details of attendance for every child, (absence, lateness, etc). If your child is off sick, please telephone the school office and leave a message on the first day of absence. School needs an explanation of any absence. If your child suffers from a period of sickness and/or diarrhoea, NHS guidance states that a child cannot return to school until they have been clear of the symptoms for a period of 48 hours.

If your child has to leave during the school day, please send a letter via your class teacher explaining the circumstances. You must come to the school office to collect your child.

If you have any concerns at any time over your child's health or medication,
please contact the office for more information. If your child has a long term
medical condition, e.g. asthma or allergies, please collect a school health care plan from the office.

If your child has a temporary medical condition, please contact the school office for more information.

Term Time Holidays

St Peter’s C of E Junior School school DOES NOT authorise any holiday absence throughout term time.
